This year, the Rotary Club of Farmville introduced a new program to schools in Prince Edward County- The Teacher of the Year program. The purpose of this program was to support and recognize teachers within our community. While we feel that EVERY teacher at Fuqua is the Teacher of the Year, our current Fuqua School families were invited to vote on who they felt was the Teacher of the Year in each division. Those who earned the most votes received a recognition plaque, as well as a $300 monetary gift. Join us on Thursday, April 13 in the Lower/Middle School Commons for S.T.E.A.M. Family Night. This event will run 5-7pm and is free to the public. STEAM Family Night Features: Science Fair Projects STEAM Career Tables Hands on STEAM Stations Door Prizes Drone Raffle* (Tello Quadcopter Drone with DJI Tello protective case and VR VUE II Headset) *Drone raffle tickets are $10. Tickets are on sale now at the lower shool office and STEAM Lab. Tickets will be available for purchase at the event. You do not have to be present to win.

Please join Fuqua School for our 2023 Falconfest Furniture Auction on Saturday, March 25 in Gilmer Gym. Preview auction items at 9:00am before the live auction bidding begins at 10:00am. You will find great deals on dining tables and chairs, living room furniture, beds, leather furniture, rugs, and so much more – all donated by Green Front Furniture! Fuqua School is currently accepting applications for the 2023-2024 academic year! Fuqua School is an independent primary and secondary school located in Farmville, Virginia. If you are looking for a school that knows, loves, and appreciates your child, supports and promotes an outstanding faculty, instills character traits such as integrity, respect, and service in its students, offers AP, Honors, and College Preparatory level academic courses, is fully accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools, and provides a wide range of student support services, then we are the school for you! Current Fuqua Family, Priority re-enrollment for the 2023-2024 academic year begins February 1 for current families. Our primary interest is to retain current students, so it is imperative for parents to complete the re-enrollment process as soon as possible. You can start the re-enrollment process by logging into your FACTS/RenWeb Parent Portal account on any computer and clicking “Apply/Enroll-Enrollment/Re-enrollment”. Re-enrollment is not complete until all forms have been updated through FACTS/RenWeb Family Portal and your $350 registration fee has been paid. As a reminder, Fuqua School's district code is FS-VA. Priority re-enrollment ends March 1st. If you have questions regarding the enrollment process or how to apply for Tuition Assistance, feel free to contact the Admissions Office at 434-392-4131.

Join us February 27 and 28 for our Kindergarten and Upper School Orientations! Please join us for our 7th and 8th Grade Orientation and Freshmen Orientation on Monday, February 27. The 7th and 8th grade orientation will take place in the Upper School Library from 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm. The Freshmen Orientation will take place in the Upper School Library from 6:30 pm until 7:30 pm. We will discuss the 7th and 8th grade and Upper School programs and curriculum and answer any questions you may have for this transition. Mr. Chance Reynolds, Head of School, will also be in attendance to answer any additional questions you may have. These orientations are open to current and prospective families.
